Kansas State University

Kansas State University is a large four-year, primarily residential school, located in a remote small town (Manhattan, Kansas). It is a public school, located in the fantastic Plains area of the country. It is one of the land-grant schools. (Land-grant institutions are schools that have been designated by Congress to receive the benefits of the Morrill Acts of 1862 and 1890.)

Jon Wefald is the President of the school. You can find more information about Kansas State University by visiting their website.

Kansas State University has a closed admissions policy. This doesn't mean you won't be able to be admitted to the school, but that you should contact the admissions office for complete admissions information. In order to apply for admittance, your high school GPA, your class rank (where you were in your class), and your transcripts are all recommended. It is required that you provide your standardized test scores, such as those from an ACT or SAT. (Check with the admissions office to see which tests are acceptable.)

Of those who applied to the school, 48% were admitted. There are currently 23,141 students enrolled in the Kansas State University.

Academic and career counseling services are available to students and, if it fits better with your needs, the school offers some programs via distance learning.

The school has on-campus housing available for up to 3,675 students. You may also choose to participate in a meals program.

The average tuition for out-of-state full-time undergraduates is approximately $13,916. If you are an in-state student, then the average tuition is approximately $4,830. Any tuition figures are exclusive of required fees, books, and supplies. The fees can vary, but books typically average about $1,093. It is estimated that the total cost for an in-state student is $15,717 per year and $24,803 per year for an out-of-state student. If you choose to live off-campus, then it is possible for costs to be higher.
