Middlebury College is a small four-year, highly residential school, located in a fringe rural area (Middlebury, Vermont). It is a private non-religious school (not-for-profit), located in the beautiful New England area of the country.
Ronald D. Liebowitz is the President of the school. You can find more information about Middlebury College by visiting their website.
Middlebury College has a closed admissions policy. This doesn't mean you won't be able to be admitted to the school, but that you should contact the admissions office for complete admissions information. In order to apply for admittance, your high school GPA and your class rank (where you were in your class) are both recommended. In addition, you will need to provide your high school transcripts and your standardized test scores, such as those from an ACT or SAT. (Check with the admissions office to see which tests are acceptable.) If English is not your primary language, it is recommended that you take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submit the results with your admissions application.
Of those who applied to the school, 22% were admitted. There are currently 2,372 students enrolled in the Middlebury College.
If it fits better with your needs, the school also offers some programs via distance learning.
The school has on-campus housing available for up to 2,334 students. You may also choose to participate in a meals program (21 meals per week)
The average tuition for out-of-state full-time undergraduates can be determined by calling the admissions office. If you are an in-state student, then the tuition will usually be less; check with the admissions office for details on qualifying and amounts. Any tuition figures are exclusive of required fees, books, and supplies. The fees can vary, but books typically average about $1,000. It is estimated that the total cost for an in-state student is $47,580 per year and $47,580 per year for an out-of-state student. If you choose to live off-campus, then it is possible for costs to be higher.
