Midwestern State University

Midwestern State University is a medium-sized, four-year, primarily nonresidential school, located in a medium city (Wichita Falls, Texas). It is a public school, located in the South Central area of the country.

Dr. Jesse Rogers is the President of the school. You can find more information about Midwestern State University by visiting their website.

Midwestern State University has a closed admissions policy. This doesn't mean you won't be able to be admitted to the school, but that you should contact the admissions office for complete admissions information. In order to apply for admittance, your high school GPA is recommended. In addition, your class rank (where you were in your class), high school transcripts, and standardized test scores, such as those from an ACT or SAT, are all required. (Check with the admissions office to see which tests are acceptable.) If English is not your primary language, it is required that you take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submit the results with your admissions application.

Of those who applied to the school, 83% were admitted. There are currently 6,042 students enrolled in the Midwestern State University.

The school provides credit for life experiences, as well as academic and career counseling services for students. If it fits better with your needs, the school also offers some programs via distance learning.

The school has on-campus housing available for up to 1,092 students. On-campus housing costs average about $2,660 per year. You may also choose to participate in a meals program (19 meals per week) for an additional $2,560. (This could be a weekly, monthly, or term amount. Check with the school's admissions office for further information.)

The average tuition for out-of-state full-time undergraduates is approximately $7,800. If you are an in-state student, then the tuition will usually be less; check with the admissions office for details on qualifying and amounts. Any tuition figures are exclusive of required fees, books, and supplies. The fees can vary, but books typically average about $1,273. It is estimated that the total cost for an in-state student is $12,632 per year and $19,232 per year for an out-of-state student. If you choose to live off-campus, then it is possible for costs to be higher.
