University of California-Davis

University of California-Davis is a large four-year, primarily nonresidential school, located in a small suburban area (Davis, California). It is a public school, located in the scenic West Coast area of the country. It is one of the land-grant schools. (Land-grant institutions are schools that have been designated by Congress to receive the benefits of the Morrill Acts of 1862 and 1890.)

Larry N. Vanderhoef is the Chancellor of the school. You can find more information about University of California-Davis by visiting their website.

University of California-Davis has a closed admissions policy. This doesn't mean you won't be able to be admitted to the school, but that you should contact the admissions office for complete admissions information. In order to apply for admittance, you will need your high school GPA, your transcripts, and your standardized test scores, such as those from an ACT or SAT. (Check with the admissions office to see which tests are acceptable.) If English is not your primary language, it is required that you take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submit the results with your admissions application.

Of those who applied to the school, 61% were admitted. There are currently 32,338 students enrolled in the University of California-Davis.

Academic and career counseling services are available to students and, if it fits better with your needs, the school offers some programs via distance learning.

The school has on-campus housing available for up to 6,026 students. You may also choose to participate in a meals program.

The average tuition for out-of-state full-time undergraduates is approximately $18,168. If you are an in-state student, then the tuition will usually be less; check with the admissions office for details on qualifying and amounts. Any tuition figures are exclusive of required fees, books, and supplies. The fees can vary, but books typically average about $1,514. It is estimated that the total cost for an in-state student is $22,496 per year and $41,180 per year for an out-of-state student. If you choose to live off-campus, then it is possible for costs to be higher.
